Chapter Six

Cameron was just a little shocked when his mate leaned up and kissed him. He’d thought for sure that Aeducan would leave the room, back to his own space where they could both be alone with their thoughts.

Nope. The larger man leaned up and pressed his soft lips over Cameron’s.

Because of the fact that they were mated, and they had a constant drive to be with each other, Cameron couldn’t stop himself even if he wanted to from kissing back.

He cupped the back of Aeducan’s neck, and the alpha let him. Aeducan had grown more comfortable with Cameron’s touch over the last couple of months, and Cameron was glad for that at the moment because as much as he was hurting, he just wanted to climb into Aeducan’s lap and stay there.

The kissing and touching was nice. When Aeducan gently thrust his tongue between Cameron’s lips, it was calming as much as it was exhilarating. If that made any sense at all. Cameron managed to stop worrying, and his body woke up to Aeducan’s touches. His dick responded and hardened, and his blood was humming inside of his veins.

He wasn’t angry anymore, or even freaking out. Well, he was inwardly freaking out a little bit over the idea of losing his pup and his mate, if Aeducan decided that he couldn’t be trusted and banished him after the pup was born, but Cameron had to believe that his mate wouldn’t do that to him. With or without a bite scar on his shoulder, he was still mated to the man.

Though, Aeducan had been smart to ask Cameron that question. If their positions were switched, and Cameron found himself mated to an evil murderer who would abuse him and his pup, he wouldn’t stick around for that either. He wouldn’t risk putting his child through something as horrific as that.

He just had to try harder to show his mate that he wasn’t what Aeducan and the others thought he was. If this kiss was anything to go by, then Aeducan was already trying to give him that chance.

“I want to claim you, right now,” Aeducan said, and the tone of his voice made Cameron’s cock throb.

“Yes,” Cameron said, and he grabbed onto Aeducan’s shirt and pulled him up the bed, until he was lying on top of Cameron’s body, and they were kissing again, thrusting their hips against each other to give their dicks the friction they both desperately wanted.

“Fuck,” Cameron moaned, and he stretched the neck of Aeducan’s shirt enough so that he could start kissing and licking at the pulsing spot that was there.

Aeducan’s answering moan was a godsend. He opened his legs so that their bodies could better fit together, and for the first time ever, Aeducan grabbed onto Cameron’s hand and threaded their fingers together, holding on tight.

Cameron used his free hand and pushed it up Aeducan’s shirt, touching the man’s firm stomach and muscles before finding and pinching his nipples.

Aeducan moaned against his mouth before he pulled away.
